Proven Solution for Chinese Drywall Is Now Available

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida - Revised December 21, 2009 - The only effective solution with proven performance to manage and remove the harmful contaminants being emitted from Chinese Drywall is now available. The RISS System™ removes the inorganic and organic sulfur based contaminants from indoor air.

The RISS System™ : (www.RISSsystem.com)

  • Safe and affordable solution
  • Occupants do not have to leave their home
  • No removal of personal property from home or building
  • No removal or remediation of the existing Chinese Drywall.
  • Installation of The RISS System™ can be completed in 4-8 hours by trained and certified technicians
  • Noticeable improvement to the quality of indoor air within 72 hours of installation.

The System has been comprehensively tested by one of the leading independent indoor air quality testing laboratories in the U.S. The performance has been documented by the reduction of the multiple harmful inorganic and organic sulfur based contaminants being emitted for the Chinese Drywall to levels at or below analytical detection limits. The results of the testing performed in homes resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of the indoor air and a restoration of the quality of life for the occupants.

According to Eric Trees, of Boynton Beach, "our family reported a greater sense of well being and an immediate lessening of various symptoms which included sore throats, headaches, and other allergic reactions. We were visiting the doctor every two weeks or so. Now that has stopped."

RISS SYSTEM™ SOLUTION TO CHINESE DRYWALL - MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. REMOVES INDOOR AIR CONTAMINANTS ASSOCIATED WITH CHINESE DRYWALL

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - Revised December, 2009 - RISS Environmental, LLC, a Palm Beach Gardens, Florida based environmental firm has developed a specifically unique process, referred to as the RISS System™, which has proven effective in removing sulfur based contaminants at or below the analytical instrument detection limits (ppb to ppt), and in many cases below the odor threshold, since several of these compounds have an odor threshold below their analytical detection limit. Currently, there are no products or systems available to manage the problem of indoor air contaminants with the level of performance demonstrated by The RISS System™.

The analytical team has performed Indoor Air Quality evaluations specifically for the contaminants associated with Chinese Drywall in seven, one and two story homes, ranging in size from 2,800 sq. ft. to over 6,000 sq. ft. Evaluations have also included a community association club house, fitness center and pavilion. Throughout the entire onsite testing, evaluation, and verification process, no fees have been charged for any of the testing and evaluation of this system.

In the evaluation of these facilities, in excess of twenty three (23) Tedlar Bag samples (inorganic and organic sulfur compounds), thirty seven (37) Volatile Organic Thermo-Desorption Tube samples (Volatile Organics and Carbon based Sulfur Compounds), seven (7) Bulk samples (used to distinguish Sulfur Compounds routinely found in indoor air, i.e. Benzothiazole) and compounds from the drywall have been taken and analyzed. These Bulk samples were subjected to off-gassing studies via stainless steel chambers by Air Quality Sciences, Inc., an independent laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia. Tests were conducted at 23° C (73.4° F) and 38° C (100.4° F). In addition, odor evaluation tests were also performed according to ASTM DS-61 standards, utilizing a panel of professionals providing a rating of 0 to 5 for odor intensity and odor quality.

The independent laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia and the results far exceeded the design expectations of the initial RISS System™ testing. Currently, the system has been evaluated in residences within Palm Beach, Martin and Indian River counties in Florida.

The results of all of the testing, evaluations, and verifications have allowed RISS Environmental, LLC, to make the adjustments and refinements necessary to maximize the efficacy of the system and to proceed into production. The RISS System™ does not require the occupants or their personal property to be removed or displaced from the residence or building, nor does it require the removal or remediation of the existing Chinese drywall. The, the RISS System™ is a safe, expedient, affordable, and minimally invasive solution to remedy the problems of the contaminated Indoor Air and its effects associated with the installation of the contaminated Chinese Drywall.

Florida Based Environmental Firm Develops a Solution for the Chinese Drywall Problem - Tests Results Proven

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - Revised December 21, 2009 - Over the course of several years, the United States had experienced rapid growth in the commercial and residential construction market. This construction boom, coupled with several destructive hurricanes that required extensive rebuilding activity, resulted in a dramatic shortage in domestic building materials including drywall. Construction companies turned to foreign sources of drywall. Due to its abundance and inexpensiveness, millions of pounds of Chinese manufactured drywall were imported into the U.S. to alleviate the drywall shortage. This imported Chinese drywall was manufactured using many different filler materials. One such filler material is fly ash, which is a byproduct of the industrial burning of high content sulfur coal. One or more volatile sulfur compounds can be retained in the fly ash and, thus, retained in the drywall. The drywall can emit gases containing sulfur-based contaminants.

RISS Environmental, LLC, a Palm Beach Gardens, Florida based environmental firm has developed a specialized process, referred to as the RISS System™, to remove the toxic and corrosive compounds from the Indoor Air caused by gases being emitted by Chinese Drywall.

The RISS System™ is an efficient process to remove Indoor Air contaminants that are released by the inclusions in the Chinese manufactured drywall and reduces the levels of the sulfur based contaminants to the detection limit, which is the lowest level for which any health risk can be set. This reduction in sulfur containing Indoor Air contaminants by the operation of the RISS System™ has been documented. The RISS System™ has undergone extensive testing, and all results have been documented by Air Quality Sciences, an independent testing laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia.

The RISS System™ does not require the occupants or personal property to be removed from the residence or property, nor does it require the removal of the existing Chinese drywall. Therefore, the RISS System™ is a safe, affordable, minimally invasive solution to remedy the problems of contaminated Indoor Air and its effects associated with the installation of the contaminated Chinese Drywall.

The RISS System™ will quickly and affordably return the Indoor Air Quality to safe and healthy levels, remove the unknown and doubt regarding the unwanted conditions, and allow the homeowners and families to remain and return to the quality of life equal to any other home or occupied space. The RISS System™ is already in operation in several south Florida communities. Installation takes only 4-6 hours. There is a very reasonably priced quarterly maintenance required to ensure the correct performance and operation of the System.
